My name is Sean Flaim and I shoot photos for my personal satisfaction. I developed this site to share my work with other people in the hope they might find something here they enjoy.
I find myself creating images of empty and somewhat lonely scenes. To me, what is not in the frame or implied by the subject matter is as important as what is actually captured in the photo. As far as technique, initially I considered myself a "purist" rejecting images with a great deal of post processing. This changed when I discovered high dynamic range photography. This gives the images an almost surreal look, examples of which can be found in the galleries on this site.
In recent months, I have moved away from this technique in favor of more "conventional" methods and favoring natural tones and "relaxed" colors. It's a movement back to a style I appreciated when I first began taking photos years ago. My choice of subject matter also continues to evolve along with my source of inspiration.
If you find my style appealing, you are free to use my contact page for related inquires and/or for information on licensing any of the materiel found on my website or just to say hello.
